Success for Barnstaple Apprentices

Congratulations to Ben Morris who won the 3rd year electrical apprentice of the year and to Paul Johnston who was awarded the 4th year electrical apprentice of the year. A great achievement and recognition for their hard work and studies.

Mexicali supports local school

On 22nd October 62 volunteers from our Mexicali plant joined together to take part a major community support project.  The team spent the whole day transforming a local elementary school working with teachers and pupils on activities including general maintenance, painting, cleaning and gardening. Luima Valenzuela, HR Manager said: “It was hard work for the team but well worth the effort - the school was delighted with the results”.

Epic bike ride raises more than £25,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and local community projects

Weybridge, UK, 15 June 2016 - TT Electronics’s CEO Richard Tyson and CFO Mark Hoad successfully completed a company charity cycle ride that has raised over £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The epic ride took place over the weekend of 11 June and the route joined up four TT UK sites, from Northumberland to Wales.

Two TT Electronics executives are taking part in a charity cycle ride to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. CEO Richard Tyson and CFO Mark Hoad will join the final leg of the company’s charity bike ride, from its Bedlington site in Northumberland to its operation in Lutterworth Leicestershire, that is taking place over the weekend of June 11th. 

Easter treats for Cambridge children

Our Cambridge team brought some Easter cheer to local children this week – delivering 30 chocolate Easter eggs to the nearby Milton Hospice. The hospice provides respite care and end of life provision for children from birth up to 19 years of age in addition to giving vital support to families in the community.

Hazel Ramshaw, Chung Yip and Andy Corney from the Cambridge office handed over the Easter eggs, donated by team members to Neil Hamilton-Meikle – Corporate Fundraiser for the hospice.

UK Charity Football Tournament

On Friday 18th March, ten 5-a-side teams from six UK TT Electronics locations met in Lutterworth to take part in a charity football tournament at Lutterworth Football Academy.  The event was well attended, teams travelled from Bedlington, Sheffield, Weybridge and Wales. With 20 group games, 2 semi-finals and a competitive final between Bedlington and Abercynon we enjoyed 135 goals being scored and only 5 clean sheets. Kieran Robson of tournament winners ‘Well-win’ (Bedlington) and Carl Lunn of semi-finalists ‘Hardly Athletic’ (Sheffield) shared the golden boat with 14 goals each.
